One Space, Several Jobs
A breezeway often has to handle a little bit of everything. For this Wakefield homeowner, the space needed to accommodate clothing, pantry goods, a canister vacuum, dishes, and serving pieces - all without feeling pieced together or difficult to use.
The homeowner had a specific list of needs: 2.5 feet of hanging space, shelving for pantry items, a dedicated place for the vacuum, and cabinetry for household essentials. Here, the challenge wasn't simply adding more shelves. It was finding a practical place for everything within one cohesive design.
A Design Built Around What Needed to Be Stored
Sophia planned the layout around the homeowner's belongings and daily routine. Hanging space was positioned on the right side, while the lower-left section was reserved for the canister vacuum. Shelving and enclosed cabinetry provided room for pantry goods, dishes, serving pieces, and other household essentials.
The result is a storage wall that feels intentional rather than crowded. Open shelving keeps frequently used items within reach, while the white cabinetry and dark hardware give the space a clean, finished appearance.
From 3D Plan to Finished Installation
Before installation, the 3D design allowed the homeowner to review the cabinetry and storage zones and see how the complete layout would work. The finished installation brought that plan to life with a design tailored to the room and the household's needs.
A Smooth Installation Experience
The homeowner said the installation went quickly and smoothly. She described the installers as professional, informative, and friendly, and praised the accuracy of Sophia's design, proportions, and measurements.
More Room and a Place for Everything
With the new storage in place, clothing, pantry supplies, cleaning equipment, dishes, and serving pieces each have a designated spot. Instead of competing for room, these everyday items fit into one thoughtfully planned layout.
“I have more space than I know what to do with and have never felt more organized.”
The homeowner added that her family expects to enjoy the new storage system for many years.
Could Your Breezeway Work Harder?
A breezeway, pantry, closet, or another hardworking area doesn't have to fit a standard template. At Closets etc., the process starts with listening to what you need to store, how you use the space, and what matters most to you. From there, the design is tailored to your home and daily routine.
